Kemakta has carried out environmental monitoring during construction work at the approach to the Bromma airport . The work was done under a framework agreement with the City Development Department of the City of Stockholm, The construction work includes detailed planning, road and pipeline works, sheet piling, rock blasting/fracturing, and soil remediation. Prior to excavation in the area, Kemakta conducted an environmental assessment to investigate soil contamination in preparation for the disposal of surplus materials.
The work involved developing an environmental monitoring program, sampling and classifying materials, and preparing excavation plans before excavation began. After the final areas were sampled in the summer of 2021, a final report on the construction work and environmental monitoring was written.
