Kemakta Konsult AB, commissioned by Ragn-Sells AB, conducted an investigation into water management at the Högbytorp waste facility. The work involved assessments of different types of water generated at the facility, including water from paved surfaces used for handling and processing various types of waste. The majority of the water from these paved surfaces is collected in a process water pond. From there, the water is pumped for treatment in the chemical precipitation plant (KF) before being discharged to the Käppala wastewater treatment plant. However, water from some paved surfaces is managed and treated differently.
