Also, from other industries NORM waste and other radioactive waste may arise that needs to be handled. Kemakta has the expertise to investigate the radiological risks associated with various handling methods. We have contributed to several applications for specific clearance for disposal that have been approved by the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority. Additionally, we have conducted site investigations and risk analyses for the clearance of contaminated sites (Ranstad and Studsvik sites).<\/p>\n<p>Kemakta has also worked on the application of European general clearance levels in Sweden and how they affect public exposure, as well as the derivation of indicative targeted clearance levels for various purposes. Our methodology is presented in the Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Company\u2019s (SKB) handbook on exemption during dismantling and demolition of nuclear facilities (SKB R-16-13).[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;text-margin-bottom p-text-margin&#8221;]We offer site-specific and generic investigations based on established underlying
